Ashton Wilson – Osteopath
Dr. Ashton Wilson MA.OsteoMed – Osteopath– Registered female osteopath and member of the Australian Osteopathic Association.
Ashton has completed three-year Bachelor of Biomedical Science, a three year Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) and two years Masters Degree in Osteopathic Medicine. She is originally from Melbourne but has moved to the Gold Coast to be a part of the Optimum Wellbeing team. She uses a range of osteopathic techniques. These include: joint mobilization, joint manipulation, cranial-sacral techniques, muscle energy techniques, myofacial release and point therapy.
She has always had a strong interest in sport and became an elite swimmer. Ashton became State representative as a champion breaststroker in her early teens. She is now concentrating on netball, soccer, basketball and tennis. Her passion for sport lead her to Osteopathy consequently to work with athletes. Especially those who have a similar drive for any given sport and so help them achieve the best from their bodies. Furthermore assisting all people with leading active pain free lives.
Ashton regulary attends post graduate seminars to further her skills. She believes in all modalities of allied health and the combination of osteopathy, correct nutrition and healthy activities results in people living their lives to their most optimum level. Most of all she is committed to helping people reach their fullest potential and to give back to the community.
Dr. Ashton works with specific treatment and rehabilitation strategies. She offers comprehensive ongoing guidance and support, the aim is to reduce pain, increase biomechanics and augment the fastest healing process
